隔膜式雨淋報警閥是雨淋報警閥的一種類型，雨淋報警閥和設有開式噴頭的管網配套使用組成雨淋系統。

隔膜式雨淋報警閥用橡膠隔膜把閥體供水腔和系統腔隔開，靠控制腔內的水壓高低來打開或關閉隔膜，控制著水流的斷和通，雨淋報警閥處于伺應狀態時，控制腔內的水壓與供水壓力相等，隔膜處于關閉狀態，水不能進入系統側，當發生火災時，啟動電磁閥使控制腔泄壓，供水腔直接受供水壓力的推動，打開隔膜使水流入系統腔，進入系統管網進行滅火。

The diaphragm type deluge alarm valve is one of deluge alarm range, which deluge system was composed by deluge alarm valve and pipe network with open sprayer. 

The diaphragm type deluge alarm valve, separating water supply chamber and system chamber with rubber diaphragm, depends on the water pressure in the control chamber to open and close the diaphragm, thus controls the water flow. When it’s in a ready condition, the diaphragm is in close state for equal water pressure between the control chamber and water supply chamber and so water cannot enter into side of 
the system. If fire occurs, the starting magnetic valve would decompress the control chamber, which water supply pressure would directly push the control chamber to open the diaphragm allowing water flowing into the system chamber and the pipe network to extinguish the fire.
